Materials

Buttero" finish from Walpier tannery. A member of the REAL ITALIAN VEGETABLE LEATHER CONSORTIUM, it was founded in 1974 in Ponte a Egola, Tuscany. Specializing in vegetable tanning, an ancestral process using tannins of plant origin, the tannery has over 40 years of history.

Initially started by Ciampalini Gino, father of a current owner, the tradition has been carried on by his son Valter and nephew Michele. Thanks to their commitment to tradition and the environment, the Walpier brand is now internationally recognized for its guarantee, quality and authenticity.

Please note : Leather is a natural product, and as with all handmade items, there may be very slight imperfections.

Aging and patina

Buttero leather will evolve naturally with use, darkening slightly in hue and acquiring a subtle sheen. This leather offers a smooth texture to the touch and perfect suppleness when worn, ideally balancing flexibility and strength.
